When responding to an advertised position, it’s a good idea to either call or email the consultant listed in the advert directly to express your interest. It’s much better to be selective than to flood the market with your CV. Remember, it’s a really bad idea to send bulk emails to more than one recruitment agency at a time or to undisclosed recipients as this can be construed as lack of focus and will often lead to agencies simply ignoring your mail.
